The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is part of the Galaxy A series that offers excellent smartphones at attractive prices. The primary advantage of Galaxy A32 5G is its 5G capability at a low price point. The device came out on January 22 and continues to be a tough competitor in the market for good reasons.
Along with 5G connectivity, it has long-lasting battery life, multiple cameras, and years of security updates, rare among budget phones. The original Galaxy A32 comes with a Mediatek Helio G80 processor, whereas the Galaxy A32 5G has a Mediatek Dimensity processor. Samsung has cleverly adjusted the specs of this 5G device to make it affordable. Let’s dive into the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G review to learn why we recommend it to this date.
The device arrives in a premium white box with its picture on the front. Galaxy A32 5G branding is above the image, while Samsung branding is below. You can also see the Galaxy A32 5G branding on the edge of the packaging.
Upon sliding the box out of the packaging, first, you will find the Quick Start Guide for the device. Below the guide is the smartphone, covered in a transparent protective sheet to protect from accidental scratches. Underneath the smartphone lies the charging adapter, USB Type-C cable, and a SIM ejection pin.

People who like simplicity will appreciate the minimalist yet attractive design of the Galaxy A32 5G. Instead of a flashy texture, it features an elegant glossy finish that is appealing to the eyes. The device is available in four colors – Awesome Black, Awesome White, Awesome Blue, and Awesome Violet. We received the Awesome Black variant.
The front of the phone has a 6.5-inch screen with a teardrop notch and thin bezels. Dimensionally, it is 6.46 x 3.00 x 0.36 inches, while it weighs 205 grams. We also noticed that the quad-camera setup on the rear is different from the usual setup. Instead of installing all the cameras on a single panel, Samsung decided to put them individually. As a result, there is no large camera bump, nor does the phone shake while lying flat. Three cameras are horizontally arranged on the top left, while the fourth camera and LED flash are present to the right of the triple cameras. Samsung branding appears at the bottom.
The right edge has the volume rocker button and power button. The power button also doubles as a fingerprint sensor and is easy to access. A SIM card slot is on the left edge. The 3.5 mm headphone jack, microphone, USB Type-C charging port, and speaker are left to right on the bottom edge.

Show off your photography skills with the Galaxy A32 5G. With a multi-camera setup, it can take all kinds of shots, including landscapes to close-ups. The 5G phone features the following five cameras:
The main camera captures great photos under good lighting conditions. There’s a decent depth of field, no blur, and vivid details in images. With the ultra-wide camera lens, you can capture more of the surrounding scenery than ever before. Photos from the ultra-wide camera were nice with minor noise or grain.
On the other hand, the macro camera allows you to capture beautiful shots by getting closer to the subject, whereas the depth camera is for Portraits. The macro camera captured decent color with detail, and Portrait mode added appropriate blur to the background, highlighting the subject. By using the slider in the camera app, you can increase or decrease blur according to your liking.
For better results under low light, use Night Mode to decrease noise and improve the quality of the image. Photos clicked with Night Mode had better exposure and detail. The 13 MP front camera takes good pictures outdoors and works well for making video calls. As a budget smartphone, the camera performance won’t let you down.
The device features a large 6.5-inch HD+ edge-to-edge display with a waterdrop notch. Samsung calls it the Infinity-V display. It allows for more screen space on the device, thus improving the viewing experience. The display has a 720 x 1600 pixel resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, and 90 Hz refresh rate. A higher refresh rate ensures that scrolling and swiping feel superfluid on screen.
For a budget phone, it delivers good color reproduction, so you can watch and play your favorite shows or games in clear quality. The text and icon on the screen are readable. It is nearly impossible to see any pixelation unless you pay close attention. Under direct sunlight, you can see the screen at full brightness. All in all, we’d say it’s a display that gets the job done.
Samsung Galaxy A32 5G features a massive 5,000 mAh battery that will easily last you through two days on normal usage. It ensures you’re always connected, whether you’re gaming, streaming videos, or browsing the internet. You won’t need to charge the phone every day. It also has fast charging capabilities and comes bundled with a 15W charging adapter. Excellent battery life is a significant feature of the device.
The device comes with 64GB internal memory, out of which 46GB is available for personal use. It’s also good to see expandable storage up to 1 TB as Samsung has included a microSD card slot. If you rarely play games, download music, or click pictures, 64GB will do the trick for you. However, if you heavily rely on the device to play intensive games, use multiple apps, and download heavy files, it’s better to buy an external card to fulfill the need. You can also subscribe to cloud storage for storing more photos, videos, and files.

The MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G processor combined with 4GB of RAM delivers decent performance for everyday tasks. The processor offers 5G capability, which ensures ultra-fast browsing, downloading, sharing, communicating, and gaming than ever before. The transition between apps and activities is seamless. We also didn’t notice any lag when opening the app drawer or pulling up the home screen from a different app.
We were able to play light games easily, while graphics-intensive games were playable at low frame rates. For avid gamers, the device has a Game Boost option. You can use it to block distractions, optimize battery and improve graphic performance. The voice quality was excellent during cell phone calls. We didn’t encounter any difficulties hearing the other party.
Samsung’s software and security updates make the device a serious competitor in the market. Samsung claims that the device will receive two OS updates and four-year security updates, which is relatively higher than average budget smartphones. The phone also features NFC, a helpful feature to make contactless payments. There is no clutter or bloatware on the user interface either. In our estimation, the device will meet the demands of most budget users.
The Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is an excellent value device, combining solid performance and a quality design at a price that’s sure to be tempting to many. With 5G speeds, long battery life, and four years of security updates, we can’t help but recommend this device. If you’re already a Samsung user, you will appreciate the new minimalistic design. As for photographers, Samsung offers five cameras to let your creativity shine. It delivers a great balance between performance and affordability. If you want a future-proof device that supports 5G connectivity and doesn’t cost a fortune, the Samsung Galaxy A32 5G is for you.
