Meet the Orbic Wonder, an affordable device for basic smartphone needs. Orbic is known for delivering inexpensive devices to Verizon users, and Orbic Wonder is no exception. It has a sleek and compact design, featuring a 5.5-inch display. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor powers this device. It has a single rear camera and a selfie camera. We were also surprised to see a Type-C charging port on this device. Let’s see what else the cell phone has to offer in our full Orbic Wonder review.
Orbic Wonder arrives in a white colored package. On the front, you get to see the branding, features, and image of the device. The back of the package lists what the box contains and more device specifications. Opening the package reveals the smartphone, covered by a screen protector. You will also find the charging adapter and Type-C charging cable in the box. Below the cell phone are the product guides for additional information and a SIM ejection pin.

Keeping it simple, the Orbic Wonder has a minimalistic design. There’s a 5.5-inch display on the front with thick bezels. The top bezel houses the earpiece, selfie camera, and LED flash.
The device is available in a single color – Black. Instead of being glossy, the back of the cell phone has a matte finish. The rear camera is on the top-left edge with an LED flash. Orbic branding appears at the bottom. Dimension-wise, the device measures 6.17 x 3.03 x 0.33 inches. You can easily use it with one hand and slide it into the pocket.
The SIM tray is located on the phone’s left edge, while the volume rocker and power button are located on the right. The bottom of the phone has a speaker and USB Type-C port. The 3.5mm headphone jack is at the top.
Capture high-resolution photos and videos of the world around you with the Orbic Wonder’s 13MP primary camera and 8MP front camera. The rear camera is great for capturing special moments or sharing important images with loved ones. The front camera is ideal for group selfies and video calls. Both cameras have LED flash to capture photos even in dark conditions. You can also shoot videos with the device when required. Overall, you can expect similar camera performance from the Orbic wonder as other entry-level devices in the market.
Enjoy a stunning 5.5-inch full HD display on the Orbic Wonder when watching movies, playing games, browsing the web, and more. The screen has a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and shows impressive picture quality. Plus, the display comes with Asahi glass protection, making it scratch-resistant and preventing general wear and tear, so the screen looks new for longer.
We found the menu items easy to read, and we could navigate quickly through the apps. Overall, the Orbic Wonder display met our expectations considering its reasonable price.
Stay in touch with friends and family for longer without worrying about battery life anymore. The Orbic Wonder features a 3,000mAh battery. According to Verizon, it offers 7 days of standby time and 9 hours usage time. We could easily make it to the second day on light usage. But during heavy use, the device had to be recharged at the end of the day. Instead of micro-USB, the device comes bundled with a Type-C charging cable, which we rarely find on entry-level smartphones.
The Orbic Wonder comes with 16GB of internal memory. This storage is enough to install a small number of essential apps, photos, videos, and files. But if you want to keep more data on your device, it’s advisable to add an external card for additional memory. The Orbic Wonder supports an extra 256 GB of storage using a Micro SD card.
The Orbic Wonder’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM are responsive enough to handle limited apps and activities. It’s not meant to compete with high-end or mid-range phones but is definitely a match for users with basic smartphone needs. It supports 4G LTE connectivity, ensuring a robust network and fast internet speeds.
We didn’t have any problem calling, texting, or browsing the web with this device. You may also play games, but we do not recommend playing graphics-intensive games. The smartphone has a similar interface to other Android phones but comes preloaded with Verizon apps. You can set a PIN or password lock, similar to other devices to protect your personal information.
It is also great for those who travel out of the United States as you can use it to make phone calls, text, or browse the internet in more than 130 countries. In our opinion, the Orbic Wonder offers decent performance in the affordable smartphone price range.
While most consumers today are seeking flagship phones like an iPhone, there’s still a large group that only needs the basics. The Orbic Wonder is the perfect phone for those looking for the basics with limited smartphone functionality. This entry-level device from Orbic delivers everything you need in a simple, compact package. Aside from this, you also get two cameras, all-day battery life, and decent performance for primary tasks. Verizon customers looking to purchase a no-frills mobile device without spending a fortune must check out the Orbic Wonder.
