Introducing the Orbic Myra 5G UW smartphone, an affordable device with mid-range specs. It was launched in late 2021, exclusive to Verizon Wireless, offering blazing fast ultra-wideband 5G connectivity with a large full HD screen, three rear cameras, and a powerful processor. It is one of the first mid-range phones Orbic has released for Verizon. Mike Narula, the CEO of Orbic North America, explained that with its Orbic Myra 5G UW, the company aims to offer next-gen features without a heavy price tag.
Verizon customers who want a 5G phone, but don’t want to invest in expensive devices like Apple iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, or OnePlus could consider buying the Orbic Myra 5G UW. The device offers performance close to a flagship phone, yet it is affordable, easy to use, and fits well in your hands. It also has a large battery backup that can last for days and the affordable price is hard to beat. Let’s jump in the full Orbic Myra 5G UW review.
The Orbic Myra 5G UW comes in a white box with a picture of the device on the front. The Orbic Myra 5G branding appears below the picture. Inside the box, you find the smartphone, charging adapter, and USB Type-C cable. The charging cable has a fabric coating for better durability. You’ll also find a SIM ejection tool, quick start guide, consumer safety information, and safety & warranty guide. If you’re buying the device from Verizon with a new connection, you’ll also receive a Verizon 5G SIM card pre-installed.

Orbic Myra 5G UW has a unibody design with a metallic finish. It is 6.81 x 3.14 x 0.36-inches in size and weighs approximately 190 grams. This device fits comfortably in hand and has a boxy feel. It is available in a single color – Black.
There is a scratch-resistant 6.8-inch display on the front with thick bezels. The punch-hole selfie camera resides near the top left corner, extending the top bezel. The back of the device hosts triple cameras placed vertically on the left side with an LED flash. A fingerprint sensor is in the middle, and the 5G UW logo is below the sensor. Orbic branding is near the bottom edge of the device.
The volume rocker and power key are on the device’s right side. The bottom edge hosts the speaker, Type-C charging port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Seeing the headphone jack was a relief as many mid-range manufacturers have ditched them. Overall, we are satisfied with the Orbic Myra 5G UW design, given the affordable price tag.
The Orbic Myra 5G UW is an appealing choice for clicking photos with the different cameras that it offers. It has the following four cameras:
The above camera system is common in mid-range smartphones. With the 48MP main sensor, you can capture high-quality images. Use it to capture special moments with friends and family. The results from the main cameras were up to the mark. There is decent depth of field in images, with good colors. On the other hand, users can use the ultra width camera for covering more area in the frame, and the depth camera for portraits. The performance of these cameras was decent and got the job done.
The selfie camera on the front is great for placing video calls to loved ones. Similar to other Android phones, there are multiple modes in the camera app, such as Portrait, Night, Panorama, etc. Experiment with these options to click the best pictures possible. Besides, you can also record 4K videos with the device. Verizon’s ultra-wideband 5G network allows you to share these photos and videos at blazing fast speeds. In our opinion, the Orbic Myra 5G UW will not disappoint you if you like to occasionally click pictures.
The large 6.8-inch HD+ display of the Orbic Myra 5G UW features a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It ensures that the content on the screen is delivered in superior quality. However, this is an LCD screen, which is normal for this price range. We had no major issues while reading, browsing, or playing games on the screen indoors. But under direct daylight, you may need to keep the phone at full brightness. According to us, the display performance is similar to other smartphones in the affordable range.
Similar to Orbic Magic, the Orbic Myra 5G UW comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery that can keep it going for more than a day. According to Verizon, it offers up to 12 hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time. But that’s not all! The device also supports Quick Charge 3.0 charging technology and comes bundled with an 18W fast charging adapter. You can fully charge the phone from 0 to 100 in about an hour and a half. The device is ideal for consumers who prioritize battery backup more than any other feature.
The Orbic Myra 5G UW comes with 64GB of internal storage, similar to other affordable devices. We believe 64GB is sufficient space for most users who don’t have high download requirements and occasionally capture photos or videos. However, if you wish to keep more files, feel free to expand the storage up to 1TB via a microSD card.
The Orbic Myra 5G UW runs on a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor that ensures ultra-wideband 5G support and increased performance. Combined with 6GB RAM, multitasking is a breeze. We didn’t feel any stutter or lag while switching between apps. We could even play some heavy games without noticing thermal throttling.
Out of the box, the device runs on Android 11. It is also upgradable to Android 12. The user interface of the device is very straightforward. However, as it is a carrier exclusive device, it has some bloatware. Fortunately, the bloatware is less than other carrier-specific devices and can also be uninstalled. Setting up the phone was also hassle-free as the device was up and running in a few minutes. Performance-wise, we don’t have any major complaints about the device.
Bridging the gap between mid-range and high-end smartphones, the Orbic Myra 5G UW offers ultra-wideband 5G speeds without a heavy price tag. With a huge screen, attractive design, and triple cameras on the rear, your smartphone experience is upgraded in more ways than one.
Do more of what you love with fast charging capabilities while enjoying a longer battery life. Orbic Myra 5G UW is an appealing purchase option for Verizon users who want to enjoy high-speed 5G connectivity and mid-range phone specs without breaking the bank.
